Everyday Spartans

In late 2019, Matthew GORMLY served director/producer Anders EKLUND on a documentary series for the Spartan race movement via Rakuten.

As a Director & Cameraman, Matt shot segments and backstories for several of the participating athletes.

First up, EKLUND & GORMLY travelled to England to film the motivational Pete COHEN in the village of Lindfield. From here the production team split, with GORMLY heading on to Marseilles, France for a day with a French athlete, and then Munich & Ruhpolding, Germany to profile athlete Sophia THUSSBAS.

Originated on the Sony PMW-F5 camera, with additional footage gathered on DJI Osmo, and DJI Phantom drone in 4K. Sound capture by Matthew GORMLY. Edited by House of Eklund in Malmö, Sweden.
