UK prod co needed a "DOP in Västerås"

Matt’s been serving ABB Robotics’ global content operation for a few years now, via 2 x UK production companies. Together they’ve shot content throughout Spain, Germany, Austria, Sweden, USA, and deep into the Peruvian Amazon.

Last week, Sassy Create had a job in Västerås, the company’s home city in Sweden. Tasked with an employee profile, it was a simple affair of a master interview, followed by B-roll, a factory floor “walk & talk”, some drone footage of the facility, and a trip to a nearby horse stable for some back story.

So, are you looking for a “DOP in Västerås” too? Perhaps a DP, lighting cameraman, cameraman, videographer, even camera operator? How about a film-maker? Content creator? All in Västerås or across Sweden.

Gold at Content Council Awards NYC

We closed out 2018 with a win at the Pearl Awards for “Best Use of Social Media”. Spoon Stockholm’s “Team Preem” scooped the prize following a successful campaign built around the world-famous Vasaloppet ski race.

Santander Consumer Bank TVC at Vasaloppet

Vasaloppet is a great Swedish icon, and a challenge deeply ingrained in the nation's psyche. On the bucket-list for many, it is a measure within society, and feat to be conquered. Essentially, Vasaloppet is a 90km piste ski-race, held annually in Sweden's heartland of Dalarna county. Despite a field of 15,000 competitors, entry still needs to be decided via a lottery process, such is it's popularity.

Last year, mates Daniel & Andreas won a competition held by Santander Consumer Bank Sverige, for a shot at Vasaloppet. To back up the bank's Swedish tagline of "snäppet bättre uppbackning" (a bit better backing), the prize also included expert training by former world-champion Johan Olsson.

Scandinavian Airlines 70th Anniversary

A pleasant surprise aboard a SAS flight last week, with Matt's mug peering from the pages of SAS' inflight magazine, Scandinavian Traveler. The feature article showcases a recent shoot, marking SAS' 70th anniversary.

In the dead of night, in the SAS Arlanda service hangar, 35kg of confetti was blasted over a SAS Boeing 737 emblazoned in a commemorative livery.

The Bentley GT Continental Speed seeks maximum velocity on an unrestricted speed highway in Outback Australia. Travelling Matt was there to capture the action.
